§ 1-12.2. Courthouse security fee.

(a)

A fee of ten dollars ($10.00) shall be assessed as part of the cost against each defendant for each conviction or violation of a statute or ordinance which shall be collected by the clerk of the court (circuit and/or district courts) with other costs.

(b)

The clerk shall remit the fees to the Stafford County treasurer. The funds shall be held subject to appropriation by the board of supervisors to the sheriff's office for the funding of courthouse security personnel.
